To face an increasing need to recycle rare and precious metals and to reduce metal content in industrial waste-water in line with ever stricter regulation, Magpie Polymers has developed a range of unique filtration materials. This technology can selectively remove rare and precious metals. When water is filtered through a cartridge of Magpie, the metals, such as palladium, platinum, gold, indium or uranium, are retained. The metal concentration after treatment is close to the detection limit of modern analysis equipment and the fixed metals can easily be recovered.

Magpie Polymers has an application and analysis laboratory to find the right filtration solutions for difficult to treat industrial water. Magpie can design and build custom filtration system to ensure optimal results. The company employs nine people and is backed financially by Fonds Lorrain des Materiaux.
