Reinhard Hübner is CEO of SKion Water GmbH, which is the holding entity for SKion’s activities in the water sector. Through its operational subsidiaries Ovivo Inc., EnviroChemie Group, ELIQUO WATER GROUP, ADASA and Ecopreneur, SKion Water realizes an annual turnover of roughly 650 million EUR delivering process water and wastewater treatment solutions to industrial and municipal customers in many parts of the world. In addition, SKion Water is shareholder of Paques, MattenPlant, Miranda and Evodos. SKion Water is 100% owned by German entrepreneur Susanne Klatten (BMW, Altana, Nordex, SGL Carbon, Avista Oil, Landa Digital Printing. SKion Water).
Prior to joining SKion in 2010, Reinhard worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Inc for eight years. At McKinsey, he served clients in both operations/supply chain management and the water industry. During his last four years at McKinsey, Reinhard spent the majority of his time serving clients in the water industry and was a member of McKinsey’s water industry leadership team. His work in the water sector included numerous projects for major water utilities in Europe, the US and Australia, including a global water utility benchmarking initiative and projects for technology providers and EPC companies.
Reinhard graduated from the Technical University of Berlin where he studied business administration. During his doctoral dissertation on strategic supply chain management in process industries, he developed an operations research model to optimize global production networks in specialty chemicals industry. Today, he teaches operations management at the Technical University of Munich.
