Paul is a commercialisation manager at UniQuest. UniQuest is widely recognised as one of Australia’s largest and most successful university commercialisation groups, commercialising the intellectual property from a range of Australia Universities and research institutes. From an intellectual property portfolio of 1,500+ patents it has created over 70 companies, and since 2000 UniQuest and its start-ups have raised more than $450 million to take university technologies to market. Annual sales of products using UQ technology and licensed by UniQuest are running at $3 billion. At UniQuest, Paul specialises in commercialising early-stage materials and cleantech technologies, focusing on translating inventions from the lab to investable companies. Paul has worked in Europe and the United States holding numerous executive positions in technology focused companies. Paul has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University College Dublin, Ireland and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
