As chief marketing officer for GE Water & Process Technologies, Ralph Exton is responsible for providing strategic leadership and program direction for the business’s marketing activities, communications, and commercial digital marketing efforts.

Ralph joined Water & Process Technologies in 1994 and has held numerous roles with increasing responsibility for product management, commercial operations, business development, channel strategy, digital marketing, global sales management, and M&A projects. He has served for five years as CMO, and is also the business leader for the GE Experienced Leadership Program (XLP), which is designed to develop and grow future commercial leaders.

The Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international organization of water quality professionals, elected Ralph to their 2016-2017 Board of Trustees, where he currently serves as Treasurer for the third consecutive year.

Additionally, Ralph is expanding Water & Process Technologies’ thought leadership in the digital industrial space and is currently a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Water Technology Magazine and the Advisory Board for BlueTech Research.

Ralph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1987 and has 30 years of advanced water treatment, purification, and reuse experience.
