Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen is a Senior Vice President in Kemira Oyj, Segment Municipal and Industrial. Kemira is an international water chemistry company serving customers globally in water-intensive industries. Kemira offers water quality and quantity management, improving its customers’ energy, water, and raw material efficiency. Tuija has been at Kemira for 5 years, as a head of segment R&D and Application Development team and presently as head of Global Marketing and Business Development team.
Prior to joining Kemira, Tuija held various positions in the construction industry including a position as a procurement manager of process equipment for St. Petersburg´s massive South West Waste Water Treatment Plant in consortium with several Scandinavian construction companies such as YIT Construction, Skanska and NCC. Tuija has also worked for USFilter as a pulp and paper industry water treatment sales manager, covering target markets of China and Mexico.
Tuija has actively participated in founding and starting up a Finnish Water Forum, an association of Finnish water industry and public stakeholders, as the Chairman of the Working Committee (2009-2011). Tuija has an M.Sc (Chemical Engineering) degree and is a member of Kemira M&I management team.
