Sandra Eager serves as a Ventures Technology Manager in BP Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of BP. As Ventures Technology Manager, she evaluates start-up and growth stage technology companies with respect to novel technologies in the wind and water sectors. Such evaluations assist BP in planning its strategic investments.

Sandra received a PhD in Electrochemical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in the area of industrial wastewater treatment in 2000.

After her studies, Sandra joined BP in March 2001 within BP Solar. In this position, she served as a Photovoltaic Technologist working to improve the chemical processes involved in solar cell manufacturing. With the launch of BP Alternative Energy (AE) in 2005, Sandra led a small team that evaluated wind technology in an effort to inform and support BP’s wind strategy. She then went on to join the Ventures team in 2009 where she serves in her current position.
