Claudio helps lead WERF’s research program. He supports WERF’s research program by bringing his water quality experience to the planning, design and implementation of research efforts and dissemination. Claudio leads the collaborative efforts of WERF and helps build relationships with other sectors with interest in water quality. He works with federal, state and local agencies, academia and the private sector to address technical issues associated with challenges affecting the water quality community. Previously, he worked on water quality issues in the aviation industry and contributed to the National Academy of Sciences Transportation Research Board’s environmental efforts. Before working in transportation, Claudio worked with the U.S. EPA in Washington, DC and on the Great Lakes water quality standards while at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. Claudio began his career at the City of Elkhart, Indiana, where he directed the City’s pre-treatment enforcement efforts.

Claudio graduated from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, NY, from where he has a law degree and a certificate in Environmental Law. He has a B.A. from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY; and a master’s degree in Public Policy from George Mason University, Arlington, VA.
