BlueTech Research presents the first session for the BlueTech Forum entitled “Solutions for Food & Water Nexus”. This session discusses the issues of water in agriculture and its correlation with water management. Agriculture utilizes 70% of freshwater abstractions for food production, and, with increasing agricultural lands and population growth it offers many opportunities for companies to find alternative methods for water management.
The “Solutions for Food & Water Nexus” panel details how leading greenhouse technology companies are addressing water use and how new desalination technologies are changing the face of agriculture in areas, including southern Spain. This session will feature speakers from companies offering innovative technologies including seawater greenhouses, membrane prevaporation technologies, and smart irrigation solutions.
