Since 2011, Yannick Fovet has served as the Global Head of Innovation and is a member of the Global Leadership Team of the Global Strategic Business Unit Water Solutions within BASF – The Chemical Company. In this position, he leads a broad scope of internal and external projects dealing with water treatment technologies covering chemicals and membrane products.
As part of the open innovation activities, Yannick Fovet represents BASF Water Solutions in various forms, specifically as Vice-Chairman of Acqueau (European Innovation Cluster). Before leading the innovation activities, he led the development of the New Water Treatment Chemicals strategy for BASF following the acquisition of Ciba Specialty Chemicals in 2009. Prior to BASF, Yannick was Global Technology and New Business Development Head for Ciba’s global water treatment marketing team in the UK and France.
Collectively, Yannick holds over 18 years of extensive experience in the water treatment market. From 2000 to 2009, Yannick held international responsibilities in water related businesses in the industrial and municipal market segments. He holds double competencies with a PhD in Water Chemistry and Engineer Diploma in Water Technologies in France.
