James Lancaster is currently CEO and Chairman of Ecolyse, Inc. With an extensive background advising entrepreneurs and early-stage companies, James has co-founded three technology companies and the Research Valley Funds, a family of investment funds. He was the founding General Manager of the Research Valley Innovation Center and has served as executive, board member and advisor to other start-up businesses. His entrepreneurial experience includes bootstrapped, angel investor and venture capital-backed businesses and includes successful exits by acquisition to large software and consulting companies.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he spent almost a decade with Deloitte Consulting, with Fortune 500 clients such as Alcatel, Allied Signal, Ericsson, Bridgestone/Firestone, Haliburton, Herman Miller, Honeywell and Sonoco.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
