Don Ezzell manages the activities of the Heckmann Corporation’s [NYSE: HEK] domestic subsidiaries and investments which include the joint venture with Energy Transfer [NYSE: ETP/ETE] in the Marcellus Shale, the Heckmann Water Resources subsidiary in Texas and Louisiana (Haynesville Shale), and the investment in pipeline supplier Underground Solutions, Inc. [OTC:UGSI]. In North America, the Company offers close loop water infrastructure recycle & reuse systems, water gathering pipeline systems and mobile water treatment solutions in the oil, gas, coal mining, and utility sectors. In Texas and Louisiana, the Company operates a first of its kind 50-mile water gathering and transport pipeline and multi-modal treatment and disposal network for handling non-hazardous produced, flow back, and frac brine waters from oil & gas field operations.

Previously, for ten years, Don served as the President of Owl Creek Energy, a private holding company for oil and gas exploration based in Houston, Texas where his responsibilities included oversight of natural gas exploration and production, field operations, and financial management in the Barnett Shale fields of North Texas. He has also served as a founder and director of a business law firm with offices in Los Angeles, California and Houston, Texas, and as Chief Operating Officer to Geoworks Corporation, a publicly listed company in Alameda, California. Don is a member of the State Bar of Texas, California, and Colorado, and he received his undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1985 and his juris doctorate from Hastings College of the Law, UC San Francisco, in 1989.
