Nahjan Amer Nordin is a circular economy advisor in Shell’s central environmental team. She and team are responsible for the development and implementation of Respecting Nature, Shell’s environmental framework under the Powering Progress strategy launched in February 2021. Nahjan focuses on water and in recent years is specifically focused on water stewardship where she led gap assessments across the Shell portfolio globally to drive improvements at both site- and watershed-level. The aim this year is to continue embedding water stewardship practices across Shell and wider across the energy sector through her role as co-chair of the water stewardship task force in Ipieca, the oil and gas sector’s industry association on environmental association.
Nahjan holds a Master’s and bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Stanford University and Drexel University respectively.
