Aquatech’s BioFilmPro integrates real-time sensing, data-driven analytics to predict and control bio film, and the electrical deactivation of bacteria. A weak AC current is used to deactivate to bacteria in the water, which deactivates biofilm formation. Bacteria present in the water may not necessarily die but it loses the capability to reproduce and form colonies in the water system. Aquatech’s BioFilmPro improves plant efficiency and power savings, offers water savings by reducing water blowdown, and reduces and potentially eliminates the use of biocide.
