Walid Khoury is a top-performing water business leader passionate about building diverse and inclusive teams, focusing on women empowerment and job creation. With over 20 years of experience working for Fortune 500 companies, Walid has successfully led commercial organizations, sold technical solutions, developed strategies for direct and indirect sales channels, reallocated resources, and driven sustainable and profitable growth.
In 2020, Walid founded Desalytics to help solve Africa’s water challenges. Desalytics offers a diverse portfolio of water testing, water treatment consumables, and solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. Through expertise, technologies, and a local footprint, Desalytics assists municipal and industrial customers in producing reliable water, optimizing processes, and maximizing returns at a competitive cost. As part of his commitment to the African continent, Walid actively partners with, coaches, and mentors young African entrepreneurs to expand Desalytics’ presence across Africa and serve customers effectively.
In addition to his role at Desalytics, Walid is recognized as a leading content generator in the water industry, with a strong following on LinkedIn. He is often invited to speak at global conferences, sits on the boards of water organizations, and serves as a jury member for international water awards.
Walid holds a Master’s degree in Management from Harvard University, a Master’s in Water Sciences, and a Bachelor of Engineering from St. Joseph University.
