Mark holds a master’s degree and Ph. D in physics from Cambridge University (UK). He was a founding member of Sentec Ltd, a self-funded start-up company bridging the gap between disruptive new technologies and commercialization at scale. Sentec set up six angel/VC-funded spinouts and licensed out a number of sensing technologies that it developed, including the technology behind Sensus’ iPERL static residential water meter. Sentec Ltd was acquired by Sensus in 2015, which was itself acquired by Xylem in 2016, and in 2019 Mark was appointed as a VP at Xylem, where his current responsibilities include Xylem Innovation Labs, a team that connects Xylem to the extensive global innovation ecosystem outside of the company.
