John leads the natural resources agenda for EYQ, drawing on his 17 years of experience in developing insights into market transformations in innovation capital, energy and clean technology.

EYQ is a group that generates new insights by bringing together people from business, the public sector and academia to challenge entrenched thinking, shift perceptions and help catalyze change. As part of this remit, John co-authored the EYQ report Upside of disruption: megatrends shaping 2016 and beyond.

Prior to EYQ, John led thought leadership and client insight development for the EY Global Cleantech Center, where he authored the annual Global Cleantech Insights and Trends report and the US water sector on the verge of transformation whitepaper.

John held progressively responsible roles in EY’s Strategic Growth Market practice focused on developing global venture capital, IPO and Cleantech market initiatives. He began his career at EY helping to found the Pacific Northwest Venture Capital Advisory Group in Silicon Valley.

John holds a B.A. in International Relations from American University in Washington, D.C., and a M.Sc. in European Studies from the London School of Economics.
