Melinda Burn, Ph.D.
As Vice-President, Global Marketing for the Industrial Water Treatment (IWT) division of Solenis, Melinda is responsible for the development and implementation of the global growth strategy for the business, for the development of a robust innovation funnel for the key segments, and for New Product Introduction strategy and execution.
Solenis is a leading specialty chemical company and provider of process and water solutions. The company’s portfolio includes a broad array of process aids, water treatment chemistries, function additives and monitoring and control systems.
Melinda has more than 25 years experience in the specialty chemical industry. Most recently she was the Global Director of Strategic Innovation & European Marketing, based in Switzerland and was responsible for developing the early stage innovation strategy for Solenis and expanding marketing capabilities in Europe for IWT.
A chemist by training, Melinda has worked in a wide variety of leadership roles in Ashland, Hercules and DuPont ranging from sales, marketing, product management, manufacturing and research over the course of her career giving her a broad perspective of all aspects of the chemical industry. A common theme in all of the roles is innovation and its importance in evolving markets.
