Joshua Haacker is the Chief Investment Officer at AquaTecture, a water sector-focused family office where he heads the firm’s investment and financing activities. Alongside its operating businesses (distributed wastewater treatment, capital project development and waterTALENT operator staffing services) AquaTecture seeks growth-stage and asset finance opportunities within the broader water and wastewater sectors.

Mr. Haacker was formerly a Managing Director with US Renewables Group (USRG), a private equity firm focused on the renewable power and sustainable infrastructure sectors with $800mm of assets under management. There he identified new investment opportunities, led corporate and project transactions, filled interim C-level roles within portfolio companies and represented USRG on a number of boards including hydro, wind and geothermal power, recycling technology commercialization and oil field services. Mr. Haacker also served as co-founder and CEO of kWantix Trading, an electricity-focused hedge fund which leveraged predictive analytics in the US power markets. Professional roles prior to USRG included AES Corporation (power development and project finance), Rocky Mountain Institute (biofuels technology analysis and demand response technology evaluation) and Procter & Gamble Co. (pulp and paper engineering and operations management).

Mr. Haacker holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
