In today’s world, being responsible for a commercial or industrial facility requires you to be aware of the latest improvements in water and Energy management. Hydrasyst is an Australian and Singapore based company, having developed a revolutionary commercial Waste Water Recycling System, which boasts the operating costs, high energy efficiency and smallest footprint available on the market, The Grey Box™. The Grey Box™ is a modular waste water treatment system available in several sizes which can be coupled together to scale up to any throughput volume. Due to the unit’s relatively small footprint it can be fitted in situ and retro fitted to existing facilities.

ABR Process Development was founded in 2004 to develop, add-value and commercialise improvements in industrial processes. ABR successfully developed and patented a technology for the production of several value added food acid chemicals and alcohols. Subsequent to this development ABR has focussed on acid recovery and metal removal from aqueous process streams.

One of our patented technologies enables a major process shift in Nickel hydrometallurgy, licensing of this technology to an Australian mine is in progress.

This technology is also being adapted to effluent treatment for Coal Seam methane processing offering >90% recovery of Caustic Soda and Hydrochloric acid, and effluent volume reduction of 90%, at a very attractive NPV.

Another patented technology covers a novel biomass based sorbent that has excellent cation removal properties to low ppb levels, while maintaining a neutral pH. We are currently adapting this to the removal of oxyanions such as Arsenic and Selenium.

ABR Process Development also undertakes contract work primarily in the arena of chemical process development and IP transfer with a range of applications such as hydrometallurgy testing for mine site development and waste treatment application testing for contaminated site remediation.

ABR offers extensive laboratory and pilot testing facilities underpinned by established and developing relationships with key players in the global industry.

Arbsource uses biotechnology to transform wastewater treatment from a costly energy liability into a valuable resource for the food and beverage industry. Breweries, dairies, and other food or beverage processors worldwide spend millions of dollars per facility annually to operate and maintain energy-hungry wastewater treatment infrastructure. With our patent-pending Arbcell bioreactors, we cut treatment costs up to 50% while at least matching the speed and effluent quality of competitors. Hydrogen gas at 99% purity is generated as a value added byproduct as well.

This system uses naturally-occurring Anode Respiring Bacteria, or A-R-B, in conjunction with state-of-the-art bioreactor design concepts and process control innovations. Our systems are assembled with low-cost materials, enabling a two year payback for typical customers. Arbsource owns the exclusive license for this technology from Arizona State University and are building off of extensive bench-scale work conducted in their labs over the past several years. We are bringing our proof-of-concept pilot online in summer 2012 at an Arizona brewery.
