Helge Daebel is a Technology Specialist responsible for water technologies and marine renewables within Emerald Technology Ventures. He is responsible for Emerald’s strategy within these sectors and is involved from the initial phases of the investment process up to assisting management during the investment period. Prior to joining Emerald, Helge conducted research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag) in the Environmental Engineering Division. During his Master studies, he worked for several years at the German Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute and participated in various water projects in Ecuador. Helge holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Karlsruhe and is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
